Tertiary Overhead System

As with the secondary overhead dirty linen handling system, Montanari S.r.l. also designs and builds tertiary overhead systems for the transportation of clean linen, which features electronic management.

The clean linen is carried on conveyor belts straight out of the washing machine and into the sacks, and then taken to the upper level of the gravity-operated overhead system, without the intervention of operators.

Again, the full sack is conveyed automatically along the gravity-operated lines into the overhead storage area, where it accumulates on the rail chosen by the operator, before being subsequently unloaded in the area assigned for the ironing.

Packing

Before being despatched to the final storage units, the pressed linen, is sent for packing.

To increase efficiency in this final part of the process, Montanari S.r.l. designs and builds belt conveyors and motorised belt conveyor curves which can be positioned at the mangle outfeed.

Using special telescopic belts, the linen can be conveyed from different ironing lines to a single main conveyor belt. With this system, the - pressed and stacked - linen is fed into the packing machine.
